I take immense pride in being a part of a profession that allows me to improve the lives of people around me every day. I love coming to the office every morning and seeing the beautiful smiles we’re creating for some truly wonderful people. My patients range from children to adults, and I enjoy the unique aspects of being around such a diverse group. For kids, I love watching them grow up before my eyes and seeing their self-confidence emerge as their smiles progress. I also enjoy meeting and getting to know our adult patients, as they come from all walks of life and different professions. There is really nothing else I would rather do!
Education and Experience
I received both my Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. While in dental school, I received an award from the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities for my research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I also received the National Board Achievement Award as well as the Crest Award for Dentistry for the elderly. Upon graduation from dental school, I was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.
I completed my fellowship in orthodontics at Harvard University, where I also received my Master of Medical Science degree in the field of Oral Biology. Upon completion of my studies, I was the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Joseph L. Henry Award for Overall Achievement in Clinical and Research Training and Contribution to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
I attend continuing education courses all over the country, far beyond the state's requirements, to stay on top of the latest developments and technology in order to better serve my patients. I particularly like to take courses in advanced topics that help expand my knowledge base beyond routine orthodontics.
I am proud to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and am an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the:
American Association of Orthodontists
American Board of Orthodontics
American Dental Association
Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics
Los Angeles Dental Society
Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity
In addition to my private practice, I am also involved in orthodontic education and am currently on staff at the Wadsorth Medical Center in Los Angeles, where I teach interdisciplinary dentistry and orthodontics.
Outside the Office
Originally from New York City, I moved to Los Angeles with my wife, Talya, and our daughters, Ma'ayan, Adira, and Keren. When I am not in the office, I enjoy photography, playing the classical guitar, singing, and exercising. I am also very active in my community through many local organizations.
Casey is the office manager here at Waldman Orthodontics. She over sees to make sure that Dr. Waldman's vision comes to fruition. Casey loves that her job forces her to be creative and always think ahead. She also loves that she gets to work with such an amazing team. Working with people who share the same passion for life that she does, is something she takes pride in.
When Casey is not hard at work, you can find her spending time with her family. She also enjoys going on morning runs with her dog Lacy and spending hours wondering around the Getty Center.
Jessica is our administrative coordinator. She is on the phones throughout the day assisting patient and parent questions. If she can't assist you, she will put you in touch with someone who can! She loves working at Waldman Orthodontics because of the great team we have here! She is so proud to work with a team that is so dedicated to providing all patients with great customer service.
When she is not hard at work with Dr. Waldman, she enjoys getting out of town and visiting new places, watching scary movies, and refueling with caramel macchiatos from Starbucks!
Justina is our TC Assist. This is short for Treatment Coordinator Assistant. She helps out our Treatment Coordinator by taking x-rays, photos, and other types of records for patients starting their treatment. She loves her job because she gets to meet new people every day. She truly enjoys making them feel welcome in our office when they arrive.
Justina loves all sports but her favorite is volleyball. She also collects minions from Despicable Me. And it makes sense why Justina is so great with kids, she was raised in a family of 10!
Stacey is our Treatment Coordinator. She welcomes new patients to our practice, helps them to understand their custom treatment plan, work with them through the steps to get started, and share in their excitement when they begin treatment! She absolutely loves getting to know new patients and their stories. She enjoys following them through treatment and seeing the final results. Stacey always says that it is hard to consider this "work" when she gets to work with such a great staff in such a rewarding field.
Stacey has three kids: a 13 year old and 11 year old twins. She loves riding her bike around Santa Monica, going to the beach, and reading. She is also a HUGE fan of college football-forever devoted to her UGA dawgs!
Hidali plays a pivotal role in the clinic. She helps to keep this office running like a well oiled machine. Hidali works in the lab making retainers, assists with patient records, and manages our sterilization room.
When Hidali is not at work, she loves going camping with her family! She also loves to sing. Especially while her husband is playing the piano.
Marj is one of our caring orthodontic assistants. She assists in chairside duties to Dr. Waldman. She loves working with her "awesome" co-workers but most of all, she loves working with the patients. Each and every day, Marj is further developing friendships with patients and that is the true reason she loves her job.
Marj enjoys spending time outdoors and taking advantage of living in Southern California. And when she is not at the office, she tries to spend as much time with her family and friends as possible.
